Cabana Sky Turkish towels are flat woven towels with fringe made from 100% pure organic cotton from Aegean region in Turkey.

Their care is simple and slightly different from terry towels.

MACHINE WASHABLE

Using a gentle cycle in washing machine and tumble drying in low heat would help preserve the cotton and the fringes, but fringes can come undone or untied. You can wash your Turkish towels with your regular cotton pieces as the don't need separate cycle.

MAXIMUM 30

Machine wash cold or up to 30℃

NO SOFTENER AND OTHER CHEMICALS

Pure organic cotton are highly absorbent, chemical free and kind to your skin. Avoid detergents containing heavy chemicals since chemicals can easily be absorbed by the towels and may interact with your skin when it is wet/damp. Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets as they will clog the pores of the cotton. If your towel got washed with softener or chemicals somehow, don't worry, just add one cup of vinegar on your next washing cycle to clear them out.

NO DRY CLEAN

The most commonly used solvent in dry cleaning, is a heavy-duty industrial chemical that can be toxic to humans and a dangerous soil contaminant. If your towel got dry cleaned, just add one cup of vinegar on your next washing cycle to clear the chemical out.

NO BLEACH

Avoid bleach and oxygen based bleach and avoid contact with household cleaners, whitening toothpastes and skin care products containing benzoyl peroxide as they can cause fading.

LINE DRY

Do not leave towel wet in the washing machine. Hang them to dry, lay flat to dry or move to the drier as soon as wash cycle is finished. We recommend air drying as Turkish towels air dry quickly, but you can Tumble Dry low heat in gentle cycle. Make sure they're completely dry before folding or piling them up.

IRON WITH STEAM

You may iron with steam to smooth out any unwanted wrinkles.

Untied fringe may looks like a problem. But don't worry just yet.

The fringe on our towels are all hand tied. They are very pretty and durable but occasionally can become untied. We recommend pulling on each fringe to tighten the knots before first wash and every once in a while thereafter in order to keep them intact. There is a simple process to fix untied fringes if they do become loose.

The fringes on Turkish towels are traditionally handcrafted and can easily be fixed by hand with the right technique. The following 4 steps will help you out.

  1. Separate the threads into two equal sections.
  2. Twist each section in a counter-clockwise direction.
  3. Twist both sections together in a clockwise direction.
  4. Knot tightly at the end.

HANDLE WITH LOVE
